The Burning Man Innovate program enables software developers in the Burning Man community to create applications that support event participation and Burning Man culture.  Innovate provides datasets  and a software application programming interfaces (API) that enable participants to use publicly available data about Burning Man in new and creative ways.

Members of our community were early pioneers of the Internet. Technology entrepreneurs and industry leaders are joining our ranks as Burning Man culture spreads around the world. Much like Black Rock City provides a context and container for physical creations and manifestations by artists, performers and builder collectives, the Innovate program facilitates the development of technical and virtual tools, built by our community for our community.
