Alchemist Bazaar by PlayAlchemist is a mythic, medieval-inspired city, a living world of winding pathways, hidden courtyards, and immersive encounters. Enclosed like an ancient walled village, it invites wanderers into a realm where discovery unfolds at every turn. Pathways draw participants inward toward a central fire, the beating heart of the city, radiating ritual and connection. Within its walls, low-lit chambers, secret passages, and intimate sanctuaries reveal art, music, storytelling, and ceremony. Anonymous Village

Anonymous Village is a supportive community to help burners stay sober in the challenging environment of the playa and BRC. Members staff the Village hospitality tent and lead recovery meetings in communal meeting space. Recovery Yoga is available daily at 10:30am in the Yoga tent. We offer a daily meeting schedule including meetings of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), NA (Narcotics Anonymous), Alanon, SAA/SLAA, FA/OA, CoDA, MA, and PIR. We also host sober camping as well as a separate area for Alanon’s and recovery friends/allies. We also offer “AnyA” meetings daily that offer an inclusive environment for people recovering from addiction to “ANY” behavior or substance. We welcome curious burners who want to learn about how we burn sober.

Apotheneum

Hometown: New York City

Defined as a “place of divine elevation” it is a visual, sonic and haptic instrument intended to “transport” visitors through participatory immersion. Comprised of two nested chambers made of back-to-back LED nets (13,940 nodes in all), Apotheneum presents multiple canvases for collaborating visual artists and an immersive sound system for collaborating sound artists. Measuring 40 x 40 x 40 feet, Apotheneum’s cubic antechamber envelops a thirty-foot “inner sanctum” that opens to the sky and is anchored by a 24-foot pressure-sensing “bed” on which visitors are invited to recline, and be transported. At night, evoking aspects of the natural world: wind, fire, lightning, rain, stars, gravity, people and animals, Apotheneum encourages inward contemplation through multi-sensory somatic immersion.

Backstage

Backstage is an interactive electronic music camp built as a rotating audience-to-artist-to-crew ritual. Part social music installation and part anti-spectator experience, it invites guests into a structured participation loop of backstage creation, onstage performance, and front of house support. Participants create a track in a guided music studio behind the stage, hear it come alive on stage, then help light the next act before returning to the dance floor. We also host live experimental electronic music, dance parties, and late night ambient sets.

We gift all manner of non-moopagenic materials and accoutrements for mutating your mobile mount into something magnificent! We are open Monday through Friday from 11-2ish hosting interactive bike decorating activities. Black Rock Disc Golf Club has a mushroom-themed disc golf course which embraces fun, games, friendly competition, collaboration, and creativity. We provide a place where folks can join together and throw one of the custom stamped discs loaned out at the camp. You can win one at one of our tournaments or events! The course is accessible 24/7, and discs glow in the dark so don’t hesitate to swing by late night/early morning for a round. We also have some mushroom hazards on the course! We have tall ones, small ones, ones that glow, and ones that show you what disc golf is all about. It’s definitely a psychedelic experience to walk through, even if you aren’t in the mood to play a round. Just make sure to listen for the call of, “FORE!”

And like each bubble, each person and their life is beautiful and unique. Bubbles are also temporary and once they pop they become part of the universe, just as we do when we die. Camp Not a Cult provides an alcohol-free, sobriety-supportive space for new and experienced burners which is light-hearted, sarcastically and not culty. We believe that by removing alcohol from our lives we have unlocked a way to live more authentically, feel better, and have more FUN every single day. And that doesn’t make us boring. You still find us howling at the moon, wild-eyed and sometimes naked, dancing around the fire. This year we present The Last Ocean, an interactive installation built from reclaimed ocean and ocean-bound plastic. Step onto the platforms and walk, run, and dance across a solar-powered sea of light as the surface responds to movement with shifting waves of color. The entire artwork and camp operate 100% on solar energy with no fuel or petrol used in any capacity. Solar panels are integrated directly into the space, making the renewable energy system that powers the experience visible to everyone who visits. Castra Ursi also shares open diagrams and build information showing how our solar and battery systems work, helping other camps explore how to build their own fuel-free infrastructure.

Our camp is home to our mutant vehicle, Chicken Dragon – Hatchery Gone Wrong. Our hatchery has tried to obtain and hatch dragon eggs, but there have been issues, resulting in creatures that look a bit more like chickens. Visitors to our dungeon will see that we are hard at work trying to produce new dragons or chickens, we are not sure what we will get next. Our best hatchling grew large and protects our castle. His fire comes from his comb though, not his mouth. Nothing has gone quite right in the hatchery, but dancing in the dungeon and on the top of the castle will make up for our dragon-less frustration! Our vehicle will be available for exploring, dancing or possibly guest DJing when it is at camp or on the playa.

A new theme camp operating within the Imagimorphia hub, a returning art support camp. The hub operates under a shared frontage with the Imagimorphia name, and Cocoon Society contributes a transformation-centered public ritual experience as its core offering: the Vinyl Ritual. Participants enter a softened ambient sound environment, choose from pre-made mandala or word/phrase vinyl designs, and slowly peel away the unwanted pieces before transferring the final symbol onto a personal object. The symbolic arc is clear: choose a symbol, peel away what is not needed, imprint what remains. This ties directly into Imagimorphia’s metamorphosis theme.

The mission of our theme camp is to increase nighttime safety in BRC by reducing the number of injuries and damage caused by collisions with inadequately lit burners, bikes and structures. To accomplish this mission we gift lights to dark burners and their bikes and engage in community outreach efforts to promote the importance of remaining visible at night. Darkwad Patrol hosts lighting workshops about the many ways to accessorize your bike and body with lights. This is a HIGHLY participatory workshop where women will learn to make and decorate their own sexy Armor Bikini to keep, wear, and share on the Playa. Recyclable aluminum is used to hand hammer a custom fit costume using traditional hand metal working techniques used for props in films and space operas. Patterns are provided in a variety of sizes. The thin sheet aluminum is cut by hand and then pounded into custom form at our special work stations. When done, the armor can be decorated with various baubles, bangles and jewelry bits which we supply, Bikinis are secured with nylon thong. We have offered this workshop for several years and they are amazingly popular. Many have told us it is their favorite thing they have done at Burningman. We also offer Body painting and Dinosaur Rides.

DuanesWhirld is enjoying our 20th consecutive year en Playa, with many of our campers trekking from Vermont. Our camp supports the mutant vehicle Fluffy — accessible public transit masquerading as a cloud wafting across the playa. A wheelchair lift and Braille rails accommodate that many more Burners into the artcar experience. We enjoy mass-gifting our fellow Burners with Deep Playa Beer Delivery (quenching the late afternoon thirst in the heat) and ‘Smores (late nights in deep playa to ease the chill with warm gooey treats.) Each of those gatherings generates micro-community among those Burners brought together. Look for Fluffy!!

Camp Campy Camp aims to create the CAMPIEST experience at Burning Man. Imagine a summer camp created where RuPaul with Josephine Baker and Alexander McQueen as the head Camp Counselors. A summer camp where you can explore the realities of Burning Man by asking: how do we collectively construct our reality here? At Camp Campy Camp, we celebrate everyone in their finest form. We pay homage to the LGBTQ+ BIPOC originators of drag and ballroom. Members of the Entheos Community organize one of the most diverse theme camps placed at the annual Burning Man event in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. Rampart is the main medical clinic staffed by licensed medical professionals able to provide advanced care to the entire community. The Turtles are a chaotic bunch of friends camping together at Burning Man since 2018 without any drama, death, or injury. At Burning Man, our camp is anchored by a 60-foot-long, 26-foot-tall replica of the Golden Gate Bridge, making it one of the most recognizable landmarks on the playa.

We create novel burner technology and use it to bring new experiences to Black Rock City. This includes shave ice machines invented by camp members, HVAC/refrigeration adaptations for our new installation “The Tundra,” and geodesic dome design by one of the Burning Man old school masters.

Hack-a-Cola

A visit to Hack-a-Cola is a reprieve from the heat empowered by a sampling of a wide variety of unique, handcrafted flavors of soda. Hand us a cup and we’ll mix cold carbonated water with one or more of our syrups to make a refreshing soda on the spot. We may even put a scoop of ice cream in your soda to make it a float! We tweak our recipes and invent new flavors throughout the week. Inquisitive visitors can learn how to fulfill their own soda making dreams with the guidance of our knowledgeable, helpful soda jerks. We aim to provide a welcoming space where everyone will feel comfortable to stay a while and enjoy the company under our plentiful shade. You may see our food truck, The Purple People Feeder, in our camp or out and about on the playa.

Interaction Café

We create a space where servers get to create their ideal burning man experience by choosing interactions offered to guests who come by, and guests choose whichever of their offerings tickles their fancy. The result is consensual weird and wonderful experiences, and it’s hard to leave our camp, because you never know what might happen next: one moment it’s sweet and moving, and the next it’s rowdy and hysterical. During self-service hours, guests use menus to engage in interactions between themselves.

BULGARIAN KUKER Mutant Vehicle is based on the Kukeri Ritual Dancers – a millenia old tradition from Bulgaria, Eastern Europe. Kukeri are people wearing elaborate self-made fur costumes and hideous animalistic masks. Every year in the end of winter/the beginning of spring Kukeri dance to scare away evil spirits and bring joy, happiness and prosperity for the whole village throughout the year. In addition to just having the festive and carnival-like appearance, we have infused our ancient MUTANT PET with a modern soul – mixing ancient bagpipe melodies and live drum beats with various electronic music styles.
